Our First Entry

Hello everyone! Welcome to our blog! Here we will be sharing more about how we are doing toward our goal of aiding indigenous communities and peoples. As this is our introduction to our blogs and might be the first time that you have heard from us I feel we should be able to share a bit about ourselves or more importantly, who we are and why we would like to help out the communities around us.

First things first, who are we? Well, we are a small group of students, meaning there are three of us, all of whom want to make a difference in the world around us. But I mean you can get that answer by looking at our social media, but those aren’t just words. We are a small group that wants to make the world a better place, and we believe that the only way to be able to do that is to be able to help the people, more specifically communities of people.

Second things second, why do we want to help indigenous communities? Well, we have been learning about what different communities have had to deal with in the past and things that they still have to deal with because of the amount of inaction going on. And not only that but we have direct ties to people living in indigenous communities through family and friends, where we have been able to see some of the direct problems indigenous peoples are facing. That doesn’t mean that we know all of the problems that all indigenous individuals face but it does mean that we know enough to know we want to help out.

Now this is the first of our blog-style posts meaning that we are currently working on collaborations and fundraisers. So far we haven’t been able to make anything official to help out but we are not giving up hope! We are currently waiting on responses but we are eager to get to work. If you know any organizations willing to help out or are a part of an organization then you can reach out to us through our social media or our email, and we will respond as soon as we can.

That's it for this update, Thank you for reading, The Neighbourly Aboriginal Aid
